This weekend there Bridal Fashion Week in New York. At the festival, many of the large and small large wedding dress designers their spring/summer collections for 2017 forward.
One of the designers we always look for is Houghton because they are brave and always takes the concept “dress” to new levels. And this time they’ve really pushed to the limits, so if some of you are thinking “That I can not wear to my wedding,” then we are on your side. But we applaud still excited in the hands on the sidelines of that there are some who dare to go against the flow and break out of the traditional format of how a wedding dress should look like.
So take a look and please welcome 90s grunge on fracture stage!
One theme that recurs throughout the collection, the layer-by-layer, transparent materials and lots of look to the skin. The thin, tight braids, which also looks more and more in fashion, we are very love as an alternative to the soft braids, you’ve seen a lot of brides the last few years.
And of course it’s 90s and top models like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, who has been the inspiration for Houghton’s latest collection. Here is an exclusive insight into Houghton moodboard.
